De locatie was net buiten het centrum van Mojacar maar met auto waren alle gelegenheden binnen een paar minuten te bereiken. De kamer, premium, was uitstekend, comfortabel met een groot terras. Ontbijt die we met de reservering hadden gereserveerd was zonder meer top te noemen en het ontbrak aan niets om van een uitstekend ontbijt te genieten.

Todo bien en general, lo único que no había pasta de dientes.

We booked this hotel as I am a keen golfer and wanted to try the course next door which I did and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were keen on a chilled, relaxing holiday and that's exactly what we had. We went all inclusive and had no complaints with the service and attitude from the staff, they were so welcoming and friendly. The food was well cooked, well presented and delicious with plenty of choice of mains, salads, cheese and crackers, deserts, fruit, icecream and toppings, breads and even showcooking of which the omelettes for breakfast that they cooked were to die for, also the hash browns were the best I've ever tasted. The barstaff responded well to the table buttons which we pressed to order drinks which alerted them by wristwatch. The entertainment was OK but we were not there for that, more for the relaxation so I guess it's each to their own preference. The rooms were well kept and cleaned every day to a high standard. We had a slight issue when the toilet didn't flush one morning but we alerted reception and they explained they knew of the issue and that it was a local fault not the hotel and it was fixed promptly. Also there was a small problem with the lift alarm going off which was promptly repaired. The hotel had an arrangement with the golf club next door and were able to book me in for a game, I had to pay the buggy and club hire fees at the club and pay for the game at the hotel at a reduced rate. The golf course had huge nets up to prevent stray balls hitting the guests, the pool was clean and a perfect temperature considering how hot it was, we witnessed the lifeguard closing down any open unattended parasols when windy (to prevent them from flying into people) and cleaning any leaves and debris from the pool due to the occasional wind, also we regularly saw the pool engineer checking the pool for cleanliness and chemical levels in the mornings. Some people have complained that the town is a short bus ride away but it depends on they're personal requirements, to us it wasn't an issue being all inclusive as we just wanted the relaxation which we had enjoyed, the sunbeds were plentily available all day long too. We did go on the bus into the Pueblo (old town) on one occasion and the bus service was spot on, the driver had no change for my €20 note so he told us to pay double on the way back which we did and the fare was very reasonable €1.20 per person per journey regardless of where we stopped and was available every hour. The little town (Pueblo) was lovely and we enjoyed the little trip out. Overall, it was a peaceful, enjoyable, relaxing stay and we enjoyed our time there and have booked to come back next year. I can't understand the negative reviews that have been left by others as we haven't had any of those experiences during our stay, and if those comments were as bad as described then I would assume the hotel has improved its services to the highest standard since then. Highly recommended!

Definitely not 4 star standard. The hotel is far removed from anywhere, the nearest bar is a 20 minute walk, the use of the local cheap bus service is an absolute must. However the drinks in the main bar and pool bar are cheap. Other good points are:- the reception, bar and dining room staff are very helpful and friendly, the pool and bedroom towels are of a good quality and the bed is large and very comfortable. The breakfast is very good, with lots of choice. Now for the less than good:- evening meals are mediocre. We had booked half board but after 3 nights we decided to find restaurants in the nearby towns, Garrucha, Mojacar playa and Mojarca Pueblo. Jet2 suggest that there may be a dress code in the dining room, in the evening. Alas, no, a vest, shorts and flip flops are common as is the proverbial football shirt. The pool is full of insects and frequently there was a scum on the surface of the water. In a previous post on Tripadvisor regarding the pool, the manager replied to say that the water in the pool was tested twice a day. In our 11 day stay, we saw no evidence of this and neither did other guests. The pool lifeguard shrugged his shoulders at the question. The gardens are unkept, the areas surrounding the pool are mainly clover. The communal areas in the hotel require a good cleaning, the corridors have not seen a vacuum cleaner this year. On the third floor corridor near our room, was a wall socket hanging off the wall with bare wires showing. This was so from the day we arrived and for 10 days. When the maid saw me taking a picture of it, the socket was fixed within the hour. We had booked a superior room, and were pleased to find a kettle and cups, but alas no coffee or tea is supplied, another bus journey required to a supermarket. Overall a disappointment, we shall not return

Check-in was smooth. Lovely reception area. I booked b&b. Large room with extra room off it with 2 large arm chairs in. Plenty of storage. Small balcony but not a problem. Didn't book sea view but did have a partial view. Good Air Con. Large bathroom with good shower over bath. Beds very comfy. All spotlessly clean. Very clean and spacious hotel. Breakfast was plentiful. I also had dinner on 2 evenings for the convenience. All the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful except for one big guy who I got the impression was not enjoying his job and we were an inconvenience. Didn't see him smile once. They had 2 evenings of entertainment on the Fri and Sat which I knew nothing about as not advertised. I missed the Flamenco show which I have since heard was exceptional and authentic. There should be notices displayed letting guests know please! Bar, seating and terrace were very nice with lots of space. There were tea, coffee and biscuits/cakes laid out in the afternoon off the bar area. I wasn't sure if this was for all inclusive guests or everyone! Only noticed this around the corner off the bar area en route to the toilets on the 3rd day. Bar staff very friendly and patient with me attempting my Spanish. I liked the fact the grass around pool was a little on the long side, with clover growing. I hope it's because they are thinking of the environment which is a very good idea. There is also a very friendly ginger tom cat who lives at the hotel and appears well looked after. You will probably hear him yowling in the mornings and evening for a short time which is cute! A floor plan of the hotel and what's going on in the evenings would have been very useful. Hotel in nice quiet area with the sounds of birds song. There is not a decent sandy beach close by. It is a good 20 min walk to a fairly reasonable beach and a couple of good beach bar/restaurants with great food. It would have been nice to have hired a bike but they don't do this at the hotel so was dissapointed. You will need transport if you want to visit local towns of Mojacar or Garrucha, car or bike if you are not a strong walker. Great Lidl in Garrucha.
